24 Hour Hike for Hope in aid of the Hope Foundation
Over the weekend of the 25th - 26th February, the Scout Group took up a 24 hour hiking challenge where as many members as possible went hiking so that someone was on the hills for the 24 hours. The activity was a fundraiser for the Hope Foundation and to support one of our Scouters - Nadine - who is volunteering with the Hope Foundation in the month of March.
The challenge started with Beaver Scouts climbing Kippure. Our youngest members did amazing in hiking through the bitterly cold winds to reach the top in excellent time! The Scout section was also out on Saturday, kept the flag flying for the afternoon, and reached their peaks. A team of four Scouters went out for the night and hiked from 8pm until 8am. Finally, the Cub Section climbed Djouce and completed a very successful weekend
