Youth Disco Friday 1st July

What: Youth Disco
Where: NUIM Students Union
When: July 1st 8pm-11pm 
 
Maynooth Scouts are holding a youth disco in NUIM student’s union on Friday 1st July 2011 from 8pm to 11pm. 

This is open to All youths between 12 to 15 years of age and will be fully supervised. All funds raised will go into the new Den fund.

The entrance fee is €10 and this includes a soft drink and snack. There will be soft drinks and snacks available for sale and there will be NO ALCOHOL available. 

No bags allowed into the hall and a cloakroom will be available.

World Record Breaking Rain Dance

On May 29th Members of Maynooth Scouts participated in the world record breaking attempt for the largest ever Rain Dance. The event at Carton House proved to be a huge success, with the previous record by 161 people being smashed. In total 395 participants danced, chanted and made their mark on the Guinness World Records. The final numbers were verified by Katie Forde, an adjudicator from the Guinness World Records organisation. The event was organised by PEI Ireland and the money raised went to Focus Ireland.
